Railways has made important changes in UTS on Mobile App to provide easy ticket facility to the passengers traveling in general coaches, under which now passengers can book general train tickets from any place.
The official sources of Kota division said that the earlier distance limit for booking tickets through UTS mobile app which once existed has now been removed completely.
Earlier there was a distance limit for booking general tickets through UTS mobile app was 20 km. Sources enumerated the benefits of booking tickets on UTS mobile and said that this will get rid of long queues and also save paper.
As per the sources, the ability to book tickets via UTS on app encourages passengers and promotes self-ticketing.
It has been appealed by the railway administration to its passengers that travel with unreserved tickets, to use UTS on mobile ticketing app.
Now that we have known that such a limitation does not exist anymore, let’s see how a booking can be done.
How to book general ticket from UTS App?
- Firstly, download UTS app in your mobile.
- Register by filling your name, mobile number, ID card related information in the app.
- Enter the OTP that you receive upon registering, by doing so you will be able to sign up in the app.
- You shall receive ID and password on your registered mobile number through which you will be able to log in to UTS App.
- In order to book a ticket, select your source and destination
- Now after this click on Next and Get Fare and press the Book Ticket button. You can book tickets using many payment methods including R-Wallet/UPI/Net Banking/Card.
- Ticket can be accessed in the app and if required, can be printed.
