Speculations Abound Over Nothing’s Next Move in the Tech Arena
As per the rumours, it could be the company’s new CMF Phone (1). Sharing the cryptic image of the device, which seems to be under development, the company captioned it “3, 2, 1.”
It seems that sooner the company shall be launching its new Nothing device. If rumours are to be believed, then the device to be launched could be Nothing’s first tablet, while some hinted it’s the base panel of a laptop.
However, once this speculation arouses, the company in another post shared a post featuring a phone and screw emoji that hinted that the teased device would be a smartphone.
Last month, the CEO of the company, Carl Pei had teased a few photos of the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 on his social media handle, X. This reveal showcased how the redesigned quick settings menu on the smartphone. Additionally, there was an extra button on the right side of the smartphone, which is speculated to be an action button like the iPhone.
Is it generally in the month of July that the company launches its phones and the timing of this teaser also furthers the speculations of it being a smartphone.
Embracing Reparability and Sustainability with CMF Phone 1(Rumoured)
As per a report, the screw in the latest teaser hints towards a focus on repairability and may follow a similar design philosophy to the Fairphone 5.
Moreover, it can be under the Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF, and is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000. CMF is known for its distinct design language.
The rumoured CMF Phone 1 may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, a 6.7-inch OLED display, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging, and even replaceable back covers.
