Carl Pei’s brainchild, Nothing, recently launched its second smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2), succeeding the successful Nothing Phone (1) from last year. The new Phone (2) retains the distinctive glyph interface on its rear, running on the custom operating system, Nothing OS 2.0, continuing the legacy of its predecessor.

Price

Priced at ₹44,999, the Nothing Phone (2) is set to hit the market on July 21 through Flipkart. If you’re considering purchasing this new device, here’s a comprehensive rundown of its features and specifications.

The Nothing Phone (2) comes in two elegant color variants – White and Dark Grey. Consumers can choose from three models: the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at ₹44,999, and higher-end variants with 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage options, priced at ₹49,999 and ₹54,999, respectively.

Additionally, the company is offering a launch discount of ₹3,000 for purchases made using Axis and HDFC bank debit and credit cards.

Specifications

The standout feature of the Nothing Phone (2) lies in its processor upgrade, boasting the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with the Adreno 730 GPU. This combination promises an astounding 80 percent increase in performance compared to the previous Nothing Phone (1).

Running on Nothing OS 2.0, the smartphone aims to provide a unique and mindful user experience, enabling intentional interactions with the device.

Camera

The Nothing Phone (2) boasts a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary camera boasts a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. The phone comes with a 50MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1 sensor ultra-wide-angle camera with EIS and a generous 114-degree field of view. For stunning selfies and video calls, the smartphone is equipped with a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor featuring an f/2.45 aperture and a 1/2.74-inch sensor size.

Display 

The Nothing Phone (2) boasts a 6.7-inch full HD+ OLED display capable of reaching 1600 nits of peak brightness. This LTPO display supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivering visually appealing and seamless interactions.

Battery

Fueling the device is a 4,700mAh battery, which supports 45W PPS charging, enabling the phone to reach a full charge from 0 to 100 percent in just 55 minutes. Additionally, the phone supports 15W Qi wireless charging for added convenience.
