A brand-new Nokia G42 5G smartphone model was unveiled by HMD Global.
On March 8, 2024, Women’s Day, the phone will go on sale in India.

Nokia Launches Nokia G42 5G Smartphone
The new model has 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. Prior iterations featured 128GB or 256GB of storage and 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
If you want to buy the phone, Amazon.in and HMD.com will be the only places where it will be available for purchse. It has two color options: So Purple and So Grey.
The device boasts a 6.56″ HD+ 20:9 display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 480+ 8nm Mobile Platform paired with an Adreno 619 GPU.
Nokia G42 5G Smartphone: Specifications and Features
Memory options include 4GB or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
It operates on Android 13 and supports a hybrid Dual SIM setup. The camera setup comprises a 50 MP AF Main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 2 MP Depth, and 2 MP Macro cameras, along with an 8MP FF front camera. It features a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The device measures 165.0 x 75.8 x 8.55mm and weighs 193.8g, with an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C 2.0. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support, compatible with QC3.0 & PD3.0.
