Nissan Motor has recently launched the Magnite Kuro edition in India, paying homage to the ICC World Cup Cricket.
The introductory price for this special edition starts at ₹8.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The bookings for the Magnite Kuro were initiated last month with a booking amount of ₹11,000.
Nissan Launches Magnite Kuro in India At 8.27 Lakh
Derived from the XV trim of the SUV, the Magnite Kuro edition offers three premium variants: XV MT, Turbo XV MT, and Turbo XV CVT. The Turbo XV MT variant is priced at ₹9.65 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Turbo XV CVT is priced at ₹10.46 lakh (ex-showroom). While there isn’t a direct competitor for the Magnite Kuro, it is expected to compete with the recently launched Urban Knight special edition of the Renault Kiger SUV.
In terms of appearance, the Magnite Kuro variants showcase a consistent glossy black exterior color scheme. The edition features blacked-out elements such as the grille, skid plates, bumpers, headlight accents, door handles, and roof rails, all finished in black. The only chrome accents on the exterior are the Nissan and Magnite badges at the front and rear. Additionally, the alloy wheels come with red calipers, adding a touch of color contrast to the predominantly black design. Essentially, the Magnite Kuro edition maintains the original Magnite’s design without introducing any significant alterations.
Magnite Kuro: Interiors and Price
Turning to the interior, the all-black theme extends to the cabin as well. The dashboard, center console, seats, and upholstery all follow this monochromatic scheme. To enhance the premium look, certain interior elements are finished with a piano-black texture. The feature list remains consistent and includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, wireless charging, and more.
Under the hood, the Magnite Kuro edition maintains the same powertrain options as the standard versions of the SUV. Nissan continues to offer the 1.0-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine generates 71 bhp of power and 96 Nm of peak torque, while the turbo petrol engine delivers approximately 99 bhp of power and 152 Nm of peak torque.
Looking ahead, Nissan plans to introduce a new variant of the Magnite SUV on October 12, featuring an AMT gearbox, known as the EZ Shift variant.
The standard variants of the Magnite SUV start at a base price of ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom), with the top-spec variant priced at ₹10.86 lakh (ex-showroom).
