Apple is expected to launch its M4 MacBook Air by March 2025, with some reports suggesting an earlier February release. The new MacBook Air will come with the latest M4 chip and 16GB RAM in the base variant, but other upgrades are expected to be minimal. Units have already been shipped to Apple’s warehouses, signaling an imminent launch.

iPhone SE 4 to Get a Major Redesign
Before the MacBook Air launch, Apple’s first major product of 2025 will be the iPhone SE 4, set to debut on February 19. Unlike its predecessor, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature a design similar to the iPhone 14, with flat edges, an aluminium and glass body, and possibly Apple’s Ceramic Shield for durability. The traditional Touch ID is expected to be replaced with Face ID.
More M4 Macs in the Pipeline
Apple is not stopping at the MacBook Air. Reports indicate that the company is also working on M4-powered versions of the Mac Studio and Mac Pro, expected to arrive in the summer. Looking ahead, the next-generation M5 chip is rumored to debut between October and November, with the M5 MacBook Pro being the first device to feature it. Meanwhile, the M5 iPad Pro is expected in early 2026.
Apple’s 2025 Roadmap: New iPads, AirTag, and HomePod
Beyond Macs and iPhones, Apple is planning multiple product refreshes in 2025. This includes a second-generation AirTag with improved Bluetooth range, a next-gen iPad Air, and an 11-inch iPad, all expected in the first half of the year. Later in 2025, Apple is set to release an updated HomePod mini and a new Apple TV 4K.
A Smart Home Hub and a New Studio Display
Apple is reportedly developing a smart home hub featuring an A18 chip, a 6-inch near-square display, and a custom smart home interface. Additionally, the company is working on a 27-inch Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting, which could arrive in 2026. However, there is no update yet on a successor to the Pro Display XDR.
Apple’s 2025 lineup suggests a year of steady upgrades across multiple product categories, with a focus on performance enhancements and new smart home innovations.
