The new airport, scheduled to begin operations by April 2025, will boast:

Water Taxis Made from Durable FRP
The planned water taxis will be constructed using Fibre-Reinforced Plastic (FRP):
- Strong yet lightweight material
- Economical and easy to maintain
- Designed for speed and efficiency across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region
These taxis are expected to ease road congestion by offering a quicker alternative route to the airport.
CIDCO Pushes for Timely Completion
CIDCO has been instructed to:
- Ensure high-quality housing development around the airport
- Set strict timelines for all infrastructure projects
