Mumbai Metro Line 3, popularly known as the Aqua Line, has officially joined the ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) platform, marking a major leap in urban mobility innovation. Commuters can now book QR-based tickets through multiple travel and transport apps, eliminating the hassle of standing in queues or navigating different systems.

Seamless Booking via Popular Apps
Passengers can purchase Metro Line 3 tickets through EaseMyTrip, RedBus, OneTicket, Tummoc, Yatri – City Travel Guide, Highway Delite, and Miles & Kilometres (Telegram). This development simplifies bookings across Metro Lines 1, 2A, 3, and 7, making inter-line travel smoother and more efficient than ever before.

The integration was announced on Mumbai Metro Line 3’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, highlighting the ease of travel across the city’s rapidly expanding metro network.

Mumbai’s Expanding Metro Footprint
Mumbai Metro Line 3 is the city’s first fully underground metro corridor, while other lines like Line 1 (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar), Line 2A (Dahisar East to Andheri West), and Line 7 (Dahisar East to Andheri East) serve as elevated routes. This ONDC integration helps bring all these lines under a common digital ticketing umbrella, simplifying the daily commute for lakhs of passengers.

CIDCO Launches QR Tickets in Navi Mumbai
In parallel, the Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 has also taken a digital leap. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has introduced QR code-based paper ticketing at Belapur Metro Station. The system was launched by Shantanu Goel, Joint MD of CIDCO, as part of a broader push for a Common Mobility Solution across Navi Mumbai’s transit systems.

A Unified Transit Future
Both developments—Mumbai Metro’s ONDC integration and CIDCO’s QR ticketing—point toward a unified, app-powered future for urban transport. With real-time booking, contactless entry, and app flexibility, Mumbai is making significant strides in creating a smart, commuter-friendly metro experience.

Whether you’re riding the underground Aqua Line or hopping between elevated corridors, ticketing is now just a few taps away.
