Infosys has expanded its return-to-office policy, now requiring employees at job level 6A and above to work from the office at least four days a week. This update, shared via internal communication and reported by The Economic Times, broadens the mandate previously limited to level 7 and higher roles like delivery managers and senior executives. The move signals a phased tightening of hybrid work norms across the IT services giant.

Infosys Urges Senior Staff Office Compliance and Even Distribution

The email stressed the importance of senior staff leading by example to foster self-development, collaboration, innovation, and business delivery. It reminded level 6+ employees of the minimum 10 office days per month, urging even distribution across weeks rather than clustering. HR teams will monitor compliance through monthly reviews, building on January’s stricter work-from-home flexibility rules.

This aligns with Infosys’ post-pandemic shift toward structured hybrid models. CEO Salil Parekh reaffirmed during the January earnings call that the philosophy remains unchanged, balancing flexibility with in-person collaboration. Earlier policies allowed flexible 10-day choices, but recent guidance promotes consistent presence.
