Kerala's 1st Private Train Starts On This Date: Pay Rs 13,999 For Sleeper Ticket To Goa!

On June 4, Kerala will witness a historic moment as the state’s first-ever private train service kicks off from Thiruvananthapuram. This service, designed to cater to tourists, is a collaboration between SRMPR Global Railways Private Limited and Princy World Travels Private Limited, under the Bharat Gaurav Yatra project initiated by Indian Railways.

Partnership for Tourism Development

Devika Menon, Director of Princy World Travels, outlined the partnership’s structure, stating that while SRMPR will handle train operations and facilities, Princy Travels will manage ticketing and marketing. This innovative collaboration aims to enhance tourism opportunities in Kerala and provide travelers with unique experiences.

Destinations and Services

The inaugural trip of this private train service is bound for Goa, with future routes including Mumbai and Ayodhya. Passengers can board from major stations across Kerala, ensuring accessibility for all. The train boasts a capacity to accommodate up to 750 passengers, offering various classes including sleeper and AC coaches.

Comprehensive Facilities and Services

A team of 60 staff, including medical experts, will be onboard to ensure passenger safety and comfort. The train will provide amenities such as food services, Wi-Fi, and GPS tracking. Additionally, the tour package includes star hotel accommodation, meals, and guided sightseeing, enriching the travel experience for passengers.

Tour Package Details

For a 4-day trip to Goa, prices range from Rs. 13,999 for non-AC sleeper class to Rs. 16,400 for 2 tier AC. Similarly, Mumbai trips are priced between Rs. 15,050 and Rs. 18,825, while Ayodhya tours cost between Rs. 30,550 and Rs. 37,150 for different classes. Children under five travel free, with discounted rates for those aged five to ten.
