Apple’s iPhone SE lineup has always been a popular choice for budget-conscious users who want access to the iOS ecosystem. Now, with the much-anticipated iPhone SE 4 expected to launch in early 2025, almost two years after the iPhone SE 3, significant upgrades are rumored to make the SE 4 a game-changer. Here’s a look at the five most stunning differences between the iPhone SE 4 and iPhone SE 3.

1. Bigger OLED Display One of the most noticeable changes in the iPhone SE 4 will be its larger 6.1-inch OLED display, a major upgrade from the iPhone SE 3’s 4.7-inch LCD screen. This shift to OLED means users can expect richer colors, deeper blacks, and better contrast, providing a more immersive viewing experience compared to the older LCD technology in the SE 3.

2. Face ID Replacing Touch ID In addition, Apple is expected to replace the Touch ID found in the SE 3 with Face ID in the SE 4. This upgrade brings the SE series closer to Apple’s premium iPhone models, allowing for more secure and convenient facial recognition for unlocking the phone and making payments.

3. A18 Chip for Better Performance Another key improvement in the iPhone SE 4 is the introduction of the A18 chip, which will replace the A15 Bionic processor in the SE 3. The A18 chip is expected to offer enhanced performance in AI-driven tasks, machine learning, and graphics-intensive applications, making multitasking smoother and more efficient. With up to 8GB of RAM, the SE 4 will also handle demanding apps and processes more effectively than its predecessor.

4. 48-Megapixel Camera Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the upgraded 48-megapixel camera in the iPhone SE 4, a significant leap from the 12-megapixel camera in the SE 3. This improved camera is expected to deliver sharper images, better low-light performance, and superior overall image quality, bringing high-end photography capabilities to a more affordable device.

5. Bigger Battery and USB-C Port Battery life has always been a critical factor for iPhone users, and the iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a larger 3,279mAh battery, a substantial upgrade from the 2,018mAh battery in the SE 3. This should translate to longer usage times and improved power efficiency. Finally, with the EU mandating USB-C ports, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to replace the Lightning port with USB-C, making it more compatible with a wide range of accessories. As for pricing, the iPhone SE 3 launched at Rs 43,900 in India, and while there’s no official word on the SE 4’s price, the significant upgrades suggest it could be slightly higher. With these enhancements, the iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to be the most exciting budget iPhone yet.
