Apple’s iPhone 17, is already making the news, with the leaks suggesting shocking design details.
Apple iPhone 17 Lineup to Feature Aluminium Design, Revamping ‘Pro’ Models with Dual-Finish Back
As per the leaks, the phone shall be the company’s thinnest iPhone ever, and we have recently shared additional details on the design and internals of the device.
Earlier, it was reported that only the ‘Air’ model would bring the new design forward, but a new report claims that the company is planning to revamp the design of the entire iPhone 17 lineup.
As per the leaks, the Cupertino based giant is planning to bring back its aluminium design from years ago, ditching the recently incorporated titanium material that debuted with the iPhone 15 Pro models.
As per the information reports, the company’s iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature a major redesign refresh, similar to the iPhone 17 Air. The aluminium-finished frame is currently present on the standard models of the iPhone as the ‘Pro’ models shifted to stainless steel and then titanium.
The report claims that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro models will also feature an aluminium finish, which could pose a threat to the wireless charging of the device. In order to tackle this issue, the company shall use glass at the back as well, which means that we can expect a dual finish on the back of the ‘Pro’ models. The top portion at the back of the device will feature aluminium, while the lower portion will come with a small slab of glass.
iPhone 17 Pro Design Leak: Aluminium Camera Bump and Dual-Finish Back for Wireless Charging
The aluminium made camera bump on the back shall be more pronounced and larger. It would be unlike the glass material from current versions.
This is an eerie design choice, but it remains to be seen how the company will market it. The last time Apple used aluminium on the higher-end models was before the launch of the iPhone X in 2017, which means that the company will give the device a full makeover.
The glass on the lower portion of the device will make room for wireless charging, but there are no details available on the aluminium-to-glass ratio. Furthermore, there are no details available on the thickness of the device at this stage, so be sure to stick around for more details. The company could bring the iPhone 17 Air’s thin structure to the ‘Pro’ models as well, but that remains to be seen.
