Apple launched its iPhone 15 series comprising iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max last week.
It is available for pre-order and will go on sale in India on September 22.
However, deliveries may be delayed due to high demand for the top model, says Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo.
Huge demand for iPhone 15 Pro Max
In India, on Apple’s website it states that an order for iPhone 15 Pro Max placed on September 17 would be delivered between November 3 and November 9.
Delivery times also vary based on the color.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max, in particular, is enjoying high demand from markets such as China, Japan and the United States.
Kuo says that iPhone 15 Pro Max production challenges are “more pronounced” than others due to which some regions may be affected by the delays up to November.
Supplies issues of model displays
Some analysts have shared a similar view, saying that Apple faced hurdles in securing supplies of the displays used in the Pro Max model and was one of the reasons behind the long wait period.
Those issues have, however, been resolved, said Nabila Popal, research director for worldwide tracker group, at IDC.
“We expect Apple to get into full gear by the holiday season with shipments highly skewing towards the Pro Max model, which should give Apple a nice bump in its average-selling price”, Popal said.
Waiting period in international markets
The wait is slightly shorter for iPhone 15 Pro in China at two to three weeks.
The high-end iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models were sold out on the Apple store on Alibaba’s Tmall marketplace within a minute of going on sale, Chinese local media reports said.
In the United States, buyers will have to wait for six to seven weeks for the Pro Max, the most expensive model in the iPhone 15 line-up.
The wait is five to six weeks for the model in Japan.
Amazon offers and discounts
The new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models are available at a starting price of Rs 79,900, Rs 89,900, Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,59,900 respectively.
Amazon is offering an instant discount of Rs 6,000 on HDFC Bank cards on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It is also offering a Rs 5,000 instant discount on HDFC Bank cards on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus
Customers can also get up to Rs 67,800 exchange bonus on their old iPhone and Android models.
