On July 15, 2025, Infosys Foundation—the CSR arm of Infosys—announced the launch of the Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program, a large-scale skilling and job placement initiative aimed at enabling five lakh (500,000) Indians to find employment by 2030. Backed by a commitment of over ₹200 crore for its first phase, the initiative reinforces Infosys’s long-standing dedication to social impact and education.

Bridging Skills and Livelihood
This program will offer job-oriented training for both graduate and undergraduate youth, across STEM and non-STEM sectors. The curriculum includes cutting-edge subjects like AI and machine learning, digital marketing, finance, and KPO, BFSI, e-commerce, logistics, among others. Beyond technical upskilling, participants will receive soft skills training in communication, time management, and interview preparation, ensuring a well-rounded job-readiness profile.
Collaboration With 20+ Impact Partners
To bring this initiative to life, Infosys Foundation has partnered with over 20 well-known implementation partners, including:
- ICT Academy
- Unnati Foundation
- Nirmaan
- Magic Bus
- Aga Khan Rural Support Programme
- CII Foundation
- NIIT Foundation
These partners will help curate industry-specific opportunities, offer hands-on support, and create localized and relevant employment pathways across urban and rural India.
Expert Voices on the Initiative
Sumit Virmani, Trustee, Infosys Foundation, said:
“This program bridges the crucial gap between learning and employment. By targeting future-ready skills, we aim to uplift India’s youth and drive inclusive growth.”
Ramesh Swamy of Unnati Foundation compared the impact of the initiative to the mid-day meal scheme, calling it “a potential game-changer for unemployed youth.”
ICT Academy CEO V. Srikanth echoed the urgency, citing a soaring demand for skilled workforce in fast-growing sectors.
Proven Model With Real Impact
Infosys noted that its digital learning platform Springboard has already enabled over 80,000 job seekers to secure employment in FY25 alone. With this expanded Livelihood Program, the Foundation is poised to scale its impact exponentially, helping India’s youth prepare for a tech-driven, employment-ready future.
