Infosys is enticing employees to return to the office through an array of perks and amenities, after two years of remote and hybrid work models.
Food Courts, Green Spaces Part of Allure
The IT services giant has decked out its campuses with expansive food courts, convenience stores, lush greenery, and recreational zones in hopes of drawing employees back onsite.
Infosys executives say the “thoughtfully designed workspaces” and “serene environments” will enable greater collaboration and innovation.
The tech firm has introduced wellness centers at its campuses, replete with gyms, yoga and meditation rooms to help reduce employee stress. Quiet rooms allow uninterrupted focus.
“We have created spaces for informal and planned collaboration, as well as areas where employees can rejuvenate their minds with activities such as gardening,” said Richard Lobo, Head HR at Infosys.
Targeting Majority On-Site Return in Coming Months
Infosys is aiming for a majority of its employees to return onsite in the coming months after two years of dispersed remote and hybrid arrangements.
India’s second-largest IT services company had enabled temporary remote work early in the pandemic but is now keen to restore in-person teamwork.
Infosys currently has over 3.7 lakh employees globally, with the majority based in India across its development centers and campuses.
While the company will support necessary flexible and remote work arrangements, its elaborate office upgrades signal Infosys is intent on having employees back at their desks.
