GATE 2024
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a yearly entrance examination conducted in India, since its inception in 1983, which primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in engineering and sciences to get them admitted to postgraduate programs.
GATE is conducted as well as administered jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), IISCs and the National Coordination Board – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (NCB-GATE).
This time it is the IISC Bengaluru that is conducting this examination.
In addition to postgraduate programs, those who finish at top ranks are also accepted for PSU Recruitment since there are many PSUs that consider applicants’ GATE scores while hiring for specific positions. There are some PSUs who directly recruit on the basis of GATE score, while others consider GATE score as first step to shortlist these for further stages of selection, which may include interviews, written exams, or group discussions.
