In a recent report, OECD data suggests that the number of Indians moving overseas is growing fast, reaching nearly 20 lakh Indians who will settle abroad by the end of 2025.

So far, the US, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia continue to be top choices but now Malaysia is quickly emerging as a strong alternative.

And why not! When it comes to the Malaysian visas, they are now available starting at just ₹11,000.  Hence, positioning it among the most budget-friendly choices for applicants.

  • MM2H Visa Holders – Participants of the Malaysia My Second Home program, offering eligibility after 10 years of residence

Steps To Apply For Malaysia PR

  1. First of all verify the eligibility and gather required documents such as passport, proof of employment or investment, marriage certificate, and recommendation letters.
  2. Now you can file the application at the Malaysian Immigration Department or local district office.
  3. You can apply by paying processing fee of RM 500 (~₹10,400) and then wait for assessment (2–5 years).
  4. After getting the approval, you need to pay PR entry fee of RM 1,500 (~₹31,200) and get a MyPR card.

It appears that Malaysia is quickly becoming a favourite destination for Indians who are  looking to settle abroad considering its low-cost visa, cultural appeal, and long-term PR benefits.
