From May 2025, Indian nationals can travel to the Philippines without a visa for up to 14 days, provided they meet certain conditions. These include a passport valid for six months, confirmed accommodation, return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and a clean immigration record in the Philippines. The entry is non-extendable and available through all major airports, seaports, and cruise terminals.

30-Day Visa-Free Stay for Indians with US, UK, Schengen Visas
In a second category, Indian travellers who hold valid visas or permanent residency in AJACSSUK countries—Australia, Japan, America (US), Canada, Schengen Area, Singapore, and the UK—are now eligible for a 30-day visa-free stay. This is particularly beneficial for Indians with a strong international travel history, aligning with regional efforts to simplify tourism norms.
E-Visa System Still Available
The existing e-visa system for Indian citizens will remain functional. Those who do not qualify for either visa-free category can still apply online using the Philippines’ digital visa channels, making travel access convenient and inclusive for all Indian travellers.
Tourism and Diplomacy Get a Boost
The Department of Tourism in the Philippines expects a sharp rise in Indian tourist arrivals, with the relaxed visa norms playing a major role. India is emerging as a key travel market, and this initiative will further enhance bilateral relations.
A Step Toward Regional Integration
Officials state that these changes reflect the Philippines’ long-term strategy to revitalise its tourism industry while improving regional connectivity and cooperation with India. The move is also seen as part of growing diplomatic engagement between the two nations across trade, travel, and cultural exchange.
