In the latest global passport rankings, the Indian passport has taken a tumble and slipped several spots to 85th place while tied with Mauritania.

Henley Passport Index Release 

The Indian passport holders can now travel visa-free to 57 countries as per the latest Henley Passport Index released by London-based consultancy Henley & Partners.

At the start of this year, India was ranked 77th, with access to 59 destinations without needing a visa. 

But, this drop reflects changing global mobility agreements and tightening border policies among several nations.

Let’s go through India’s ranking in Henley Passport Index over the period of time.

Countries Where Indians Can Travel Without A Visa

As per this latest update now Indians can  travel visa-free to 12 destinations which includes countries like Bhutan, Indonesia, Mauritius, and Trinidad and Tobago as given in the list below.

7. Nepal

8. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

9. Senegal

List Of The Countries Offering Visa On Arrival To Indian Passport Holders 

There are 27 countries where Indian citizens can obtain a visa after landing. Out of these, the most popular destinations in this category include Sri Lanka, Maldives, Jordan, Qatar and the remaining list is given below.

5. Comoro Islands

6. Djibouti

7. Ethiopia

There are 44 countries where Indian travellers can apply for an e-Visa including Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Vietnam.
