One side of the coin will feature the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar, with the inscription “Satyamev Jayate” below it. The word “Bharat” will be written in Devanagari script on the left side, while “India” will be written in English on the right. The coin will also include the rupee symbol and the denomination value of 75 in international numerals beneath the Lion Capital. On the other side of the coin, an image of the parliament complex will be displayed. The upper periphery will bear the words “Sansad Sankul” in Devanagari script, and “Parliament Complex” will be written in English on the lower periphery.

The coin will have a circular shape with a diameter of 44 millimeters and will feature 200 serrations along its edges. It will weigh 35 grams and be made of a four-part alloy consisting of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.

New Parliament Building Inauguration

The new parliament building was inaugurated by PM Modi on Sunday. While 25 parties are expected to attend the ceremony, around 20 opposition parties have decided to boycott the event.

The Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Left, Trinamool, Samajwadi Party, and others have expressed their disapproval of the new building’s inauguration, stating that it holds no significance when the “soul of democracy has been sucked out.” They believe that President Droupadi Murmu should have inaugurated the building instead of PM Modi.

In response and to their defence, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) strongly criticized the opposition’s decision to boycott the inauguration, considering it a direct insult to the democratic values and constitutional principles of the nation.
