Honda Cars India is all set to launch a new midsize SUV before the commencement of the festive season in 2023.
As per the media reports, this model shall be called Honda Elevate and it shall make its global debut on June 6.

Only two models – Amaze and fifth-gen City – are currently being sold by the Indian arm of the Japanese carmaker. Since the month of March, the models like WR-V, Jazz and fourth-gen City were discontinued.
The Elevate SUV will be the third volume pillar for Honda.
Elevate which lock horns with the other mid-size SUV segment players like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos is expected to be priced between Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

When it comes to the design as well as features, the Honda Elevate shall feature an upright front with a bold grille and LED headlamps. There will be LED taillamps.
We can expect 17-inch alloy wheels and an electric sunroof.
Inside the cabin, features like a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless charger and ventilated seats are expected. The SUV will boast an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
The Honda Elevate might share powertrains with the Honda City. The popular sedan gets a 1.5-litre VTEC DOHC petrol engine, which produces 121PS of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque. It can be had either with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed CVT.
There is also a strong hybrid powertrain option in the sedan. The City e:HEV hybrid comes with a self-charging, two-motor e-CVT system connected to a 1.5-litre Atkinson-Cycle DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine. The hybrid electric system produces a combined maximum power of 126PS and a peak motor torque of 253Nm.
