On June 6, 2023, Honda made a significant entry into the Indian market with the unveiling of its highly anticipated SUV, the Honda Elevate. The vehicle is scheduled for release in early September and has now disclosed its ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures.

The car has been positioned to rival popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Honda Elevate To Be Out in September: All You Need To Know

Engine

The Honda Elevate is equipped with a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, which comes with the option of a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT unit. The engine delivers an impressive 119bhp and 145Nm of peak torque. 

The powertrain of the Honda Elevate is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 119bhp of maximum power at 6,600 rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm. Customers have the option of choosing between a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT transmission.

The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures are reported to be 15.31kmpl for the manual variant and 16.92kmpl for the automatic variant. Notably, the Elevate SUV does not come with a hybrid powertrain setup, distinguishing it from the Honda City.

Exterior

The front profile features a bold black radiator grille and a robust, flat face, complemented by sharp headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and L-shaped LED tail lights at the rear. The SUV rides on dual-tone alloy wheels and has dimensions measuring 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,650mm in height, with a ground clearance of 220mm and a 458-litre boot capacity.

Features

Inside the cabin, the Honda Elevate impresses with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment center equipped with wireless smartphone integration technology. The steering wheel is three-spoked, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster graces the dashboard, which has a clean and modern design.

Safety is a priority for the Elevate SUV, which comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite. This suite includes features such as Collision Mitigation Braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, road departure warning, and automatic high beam assist.
