HDFC Bank has revised fixed deposit interest rates upwards by up to 0.25% or 25 basis points for certain tenors below ₹2 crore effective February 9th. The private lender released limited period ‘Special Edition FD’ rates offering 7.20% for 35 months and 7.25% on 55 month terms, presenting attractive reinvestment avenues.
Earlier this week, HDFC Bank also raised $300 million via its first-ever sustainable finance bond issue overseas, with capital utilization aimed more at green transport, MSME and affordable housing credit.

The move diversifies its investment portfolio while respecting regulatory thresholds avoiding disproportionate sectoral influence through concentrated positions beyond a year.
