Empowering One Crore Households
Under the ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’, households will receive up to 300 units of free electricity monthly. The project will be funded through substantive subsidies and concessional bank loans, with a focus on integrating stakeholders through a National Online Portal.
Encouraging Solar Adoption
To promote grassroots adoption, urban local bodies and panchayats will be incentivized to encourage rooftop solar systems. The scheme is anticipated to boost income, reduce power bills, and generate employment opportunities.
