Google’s AI enhancements already include features like AI-generated summaries at the top of search results and an upgraded version of Google Lens for video-based searches. These updates aim to make the search process more efficient and deliver more accurate results.

Pichai also discussed the competitive landscape in AI, specifically mentioning Microsoft and OpenAI. He confidently highlighted Google’s proprietary AI models as a significant advantage, asserting that Google continues to lead in developing advanced AI technology, unlike competitors who rely on external models. Additionally, Pichai shared insights into Google’s work culture, emphasizing how offering free meals to employees promotes creativity and collaboration. He noted that this practice has been key in sparking some of the company’s most ground-breaking innovations.
