In what looks like a strategic shift, Google might launch the Pixel 10 as early as late June or early July, ahead of its usual October window. This follows last year’s move to launch the Pixel 9 series in August, a full month before Apple’s iPhone 16. Clearly, Google wants first dibs on premium smartphone buyers.

Exclusive Event: “Pixel Penthouse” on June 27

Google has invited select members of its Pixel Superfans club to a special event in London on June 27, cheekily named the “Pixel Penthouse.” Only 25 fans will gain access after clearing a quiz to prove their Pixel loyalty. Attendees can expect hands-on time with unreleased devices, exclusive Q&A sessions with Googlers, and Pixel-themed goodies.

While this isn’t an official launch, the timing and setup strongly hint that the Pixel 10 may be revealed or previewed at this event—just weeks before Samsung’s Unpacked and months before Apple’s iPhone 17.

Specs and Leaks: What to Expect from Pixel 10

Though Google hasn’t confirmed details, early leaks and concept renders suggest the Pixel 10 will be a significant upgrade:

  • Processor: Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, reportedly in testing with Android 15, but expected to debut with Android 16.
  • RAM: 12GB base model, with 16GB for the Pro variant.
  • Cameras: A triple-lens 64MP setup could be standard across the entire Pixel 10 lineup, including ultra-wide and periscope telephoto lenses supporting up to 50x digital zoom.

This would mark a departure from Google’s usual camera strategy, bringing Pro-level features to all models.

Design: Familiar but Polished

Leaked images indicate that the Pixel 10 design remains close to the Pixel 9 Pro, including the now-iconic horizontal camera bar. While it’s not a radical redesign, it suggests Google is opting for internal performance and software improvements over external changes.

Whether this is a stopgap or a new design standard remains to be seen.

The Big Picture

By fast-tracking the Pixel 10 launch, Google is clearly trying to avoid getting overshadowed by Apple and grab attention during the quieter months of the smartphone calendar. If the rumors hold, the Pixel 10 could be Google’s most competitive flagship yet, blending performance, AI features, and top-tier camera tech—all before Apple even takes the stage.
