Google Photos Get AI-Powered Video Editing Tools

Google Photos Enhances Video Editing with New AI-Powered Features

One of world’s most popular image editing apps on Android and iOS, Google Photos, has got several AI powered features which make editing the videos into stunning shareable clips easier than ever.

While viewing a video in Google Photos, you can press “Edit” post which the tools are presented and you also get a new feature called as “Auto Enhance” which as per its name allows one to enhance the colours and stabilise your videos with a single tap.

A new Speed tool has also been introduced by the tech giant that lets you speed up or speed down the video and also update its trim tool, which further helps with improved control over the length of footage.

As for AI, Google Photos’ video editor now has video presets on both Android and iOS. Google says these presets can help you automatically trim the video, adjust the lighting, control the speed and even apply effects like dynamic motion tracking or zoom with a few taps.

New Appeal with New AI Video Editing Features Despite Existing Limitations

While the advanced video editing features are still lacking in the app, the app is steadily adding new features to edit images. The lack of advance editing features explains why some users resorted to other 3rd party apps such as TikTok and Instagram for video enhancements. However, the new AI features should make the app more appealing to more users.

The new video editing features are rolling out to all users, but Google says it might take some time before they appear on your device.
