Tata Motors is set to launch an extensively updated version of its Nexon compact SUV in India next month, incorporating a comprehensive range of enhancements both internally and externally.
Tata Nexon Facelift To Be Launched Next Month
The revamped Tata Nexon takes its design cues from the Curvv concept, clearly evident in its front fascia. The car will also come with a split headlamp cluster, sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a new grille, and a redesigned bumper.
The rear design has also received substantial attention, including newly designed alloy wheels, subtle side profile changes, and a more expressive rear courtesy of full-width LED tail lamps forming a distinctive Y-pattern. The tailgate and bumper have been adjusted and now incorporate new inserts.
The interior of the compact SUV is in for a major transformation. A redesigned center console and dashboard, along with the incorporation of premium-quality materials, are set to be the highlights of this overhaul.
Inside the cabin, a reduction in physical buttons and cleaner surfaces contribute to a more upscale ambiance. The updated two-tone dashboard will feature sleeker HVAC vents, while the existing rotary drive selector will be retained. The introduction of new storage spaces further enhances practicality.
2023 Taat Nexon Transmission Options To Also Get An Upgrade
The 2023 Tata Nexon will include sequential turn signals, a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, wireless smartphone charging capabilities, ventilated front seats, an expanded airbag count, and a new electric sunroof.
Transmission options are also getting an upgrade. While the current 1.2L three-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo four-cylinder diesel engines are expected to remain, potential performance adjustments might come into play. The petrol variant might offer a five-speed manual transmission in base trims, alongside the existing six-speed manual and a new seven-speed Dual Clutch Automatic (DCA) borrowed from the Altroz.
The facelifted Tata Nexon is equipped with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring a refreshed user interface. This system will be compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lower-end variants will retain the 7-inch touchscreen configuration.
A new two-spoke steering wheel, making its debut in the Nexon facelift, is set to be introduced in upcoming models like the revised Harrier and Safari. This steering wheel will feature an illuminated logo, innovative haptic buttons, and toggle switches. It will be complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Among the significant updates, capacitive controls for climate management are included. The patented touch control panel will incorporate dual toggle switches for temperature adjustments and additional buttons with haptic feedback.
