Recently, we interacted with Dr. Ganesh Nikam, Managing Director and CEO of Biojobz– An Executive Search Leader for Life Sciences and Healthcare.

1. Brief us about your business, its area of expertise, and the services you provide.

3. What are some of the new ideas you would implement to process the hiring of the right talent for any organisation?
Biojobz has innovated in various areas of the recruitment value chain. Since our focus industry needs a lot of actual scientific and technological understanding, we train our recruiters very extensively (almost 2 months) even before they are given their first assignment. Ours is fully automated training of new recruiters with over 100 hours of mandatory training content and 10 tests. and In this process of training, we make sure our new recruiters get on the job awareness at client’s HR premises for a week
On the recruitment end cycle process, we have implemented video interviews taken by our specialised recruiters on the company’s list of questions and then a summarised report with short video summary and highlights sent to our clients. In some senior positions it has reduced the overall process by one months
Continuously updated industry mapping tools with updated compensation structure, designation hierarchy makes life a lot easier for out client when they have finalised compensation and other details about a particular vacancy
4. Tell us about the most recent hiring patterns in the biopharmaceutical sector.
We have seen a large number of KPO businesses coming in the health care sector, we are specialised doctors , paramedics and bio technicians hired to serve customers/hospitals abroad. It has opened a very stable career option for MBBS doctors.
Due to special focus on atmanirbhar bharat initiatives and covid catapulting India’s pharma industry into global mindspace, a lot manufacturing set up around API is coming up, which is also helping us to reduce India’s dependency on China. API manufacturers will be creating a lot pharma-manufacturing jobs in next 2-3 years as well as professional involved in setting up plants/manufacturing units
5. What is your future roadmap for the coming year?
This year, we are geared to cross the 500 recruitment barrier, a huge step in our industry and this is only related to middle and senior level hiring. We want to close at 5 CXO level hiring as well and are already working on two of them for large clients. Biojobz would also open up Middle east next growth market and hopefully we cross double digit hiring there as well
