Delhi Government Introduces Mukyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna
In a bid to empower women and foster independence, the Delhi Government unveiled the Mukyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna during the budget presentation in the Delhi Assembly.
Finance Minister Atishi Marlena announced a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for women above 18 starting from FY 2024-25. With an allocation of Rs 2,000 crore, the scheme aims to realize the dream of “Ram Rajya”.
Enrollment Process and Eligibility Criteria
Despite being operational from April 2024, enrollment for the scheme will commence post Lok Sabha elections. Eligibility criteria include women above 18 with a Delhi voter ID card, excluding taxpayers, pension recipients, and government employees.
Applicants must provide documents such as Aadhar, PAN, bank details, and a self-declaration to access the benefits.
