The Election Commission of India (ECI) has introduced the Election Seizure Management System for the first time during five assembly elections, with the objective of ensuring elections that are devoid of inducements and to enhance oversight. This system functions as a technological platform providing real-time updates on confiscations conducted by various state and central enforcement agencies in the field. Its primary purpose is to facilitate smooth coordination and the sharing of intelligence among these agencies.
