In a major push to support talented students from government schools, the Delhi government has launched a new initiative to provide free professional coaching for competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation and CUET. The programme, part of the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti Mission, aims to empower students with the academic guidance they need to enter top institutions and secure high-growth careers.

The initiative was announced by Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, who emphasised that the state is committed to ensuring no child is left behind due to financial limitations, lack of resources or emotional barriers.
Coaching for 2,200 Students Across India’s Biggest Entrance Exams
A total of 2,200 meritorious students from Delhi government schools will receive structured coaching from some of the country’s leading institutes. The empanelled coaching partners include:
- Aakash Institute
- Narayana Academy
- KD Campus
- Ravindra Institute
Students selected under the mission will receive:
- In-person classroom coaching
- Live interactive sessions
- Comprehensive study materials
- Mock tests and performance assessments
- Support after school hours and weekend classes
The goal is to ensure that government school students receive the same level of academic preparation as those enrolled in top private institutes.
Special Focus on Girls With Reserved Seats
To promote gender equity, the Delhi government has reserved seats for female students across multiple courses:
- 50 seats each for girls in JEE, NEET, CLAT and CA Foundation
- 150 seats reserved for girls in the 1,000-seat CUET-UG coaching programme
This reservation ensures that girls—who often face additional social barriers—receive equal opportunities to pursue top competitive exams.
Rs 21 Crore Budget Allocation for the Scheme
The scheme was announced in the Delhi government’s annual budget and comes with an allocation of Rs 21 crore. The investment highlights the state’s priority towards strengthening public education and creating pathways to success for students from economically weaker backgrounds.
Minister Ashish Sood stated that the Vidya Shakti Mission aims to offer not just academic support but also confidence, courage and emotional strength to help students dream big and achieve their goals.
He added that the initiative represents a promise that no child in Delhi’s government schools will be left behind due to lack of guidance or financial constraints.
