D2C brand HiYo has announced that they have successfully raised $500,000 in investment for business expansion.

Focussed on optimizing the consumer acquisition cost (CAC) by leveraging engaged communities, HiYo is attempting to disrupt D2C business ecosystem by leveraging the reach and impact of creator-led communities, which significantly reduces customer acquisition cost.

Arun Prabhudesai, CEO & founder of Armoks Media, and Shachin Bharadwaj, founder, Zeno Collectibles participated in the round.

Their first brand, FAADU! was launched in March this year, and have already attracted attention of engaged communities, across India.

By catering to the loyal and engaged audience of communities like Shorts Break, and Take a Break via means of trendy apparel, HiYo has some aggressive plans to expand FAADU!’s offerings to more creators.

Yash Garg, founder, HiYo, said, “At HiYo, we believe in creating a seamless experience for consumers and creators alike, and this investment is a definite boost to our efforts. We plan to launch at least one more brand this calendar year and expand into the consumer technology space.”

Shachin Bharadwaj, on the event said, “Adding a commerce layer to an engaging large community creates a new distribution-first marketing opportunity. I am happy to support Yash and his team as they innovate on optimising customer acquisition costs for brands and content creators alike.”

HiYo is committed to continuously innovating on the e-commerce front with a focus on simplicity. It aims to iterate and launch more consumer-centric, creator-content-led brands in the near future.

With CACs rising by the day for D2C brands, a lot of revenue is spent on activities such as marketing. On the consumer front, HiYo will be an umbrella house of brands.
