The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has issued a directive making monthly examinations mandatory for all Class 11 students under it. Scheduled between January 22-30, barring January 26 and 28, these tests aim to assess academic progress midway through the academic year.
Students not appearing for the exams as per schedule risk losing eligibility for future tests this year as per BSEB’s examination controller. The board will provide the question papers via district education offices to respective schools.
Attendance Critical for Continued Assessment
By making monthly exams compulsory, BSEB seeks to drive better discipline and emphasis on studies among Class 11 learners. The performance in these tests will allow students to gauge subject comprehension and prepare accordingly for the final yearly examinations.
The board has clearly outlined that students not adhering to the monthly exam timetable may lead to revocation of rights to sit for subsequent assessment exams this academic year.
Range of Subjects Covered Over 8 Days
The monthly tests will be conducted across two shifts each day from January 22-30, except Jan 26 and 28. Subjects covered include Physics, Chemistry, Math, English, Hindi, History, Agriculture, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Music and more.
For instance, January 23 has Math and English exams planned. January 25 will assess Psychology in shift 2 and Sanskrit/Persian in shift 1. The schedule allows different subject combinations across various dates for smooth operations.
