Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has introduced the Seal electric sedan in India, offering three distinct versions to cater to diverse consumer preferences. Priced competitively, the Dynamid edition starts at Rs 41 lakh, with the premium variant priced at Rs 45.55 lakh and the performance model at Rs 53 lakh, all ex-showroom prices.

Premium Features and Performance

The BYD Seal boasts an array of premium features both inside and out. Sporting Double U floating LED headlights and a boundless LED tail light, it exudes a sporty yet sophisticated aesthetic. The sedan features electronic hidden flush door handles, 19-inch precision blade wheel hubs, and waterdrop-shaped side mirrors, enhancing its aerodynamic profile.

Inside, the Seal offers a luxurious black interior with bolstered sport front seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and electronic adjustment capabilities. The rear seating arrangement comprises a three-seat design with a 60/40 split option for added versatility. The crystal gearshift and 15.6-inch rotatable infotainment screen add a touch of elegance to the cabin, complemented by the HUD display and automatic rain-sensing wipers.

Based on the e-platform 3.0 model, the BYD Seal prioritizes space, safety, and performance. With an impressive acceleration capability of zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and a remarkable mileage of 650 km, the Seal sets new benchmarks in electric sedan performance. Moreover, its rapid charging capability allows for a range of 200 km with just 15 minutes of charging.

Booking Benefits and Warranty Details

Customers can reserve their Seal by paying Rs 1.25 lakh, with early bookings until March 31 entitling them to exclusive benefits. These include a 7 kW home charger with free installation, a 3 kW portable charger, a mobile power supply unit, six years of road assistance, and a complimentary inspection service.

Additionally, BYD India offers an exclusive scheme for customers purchasing the Seal by April 30, 2024. A select few may have the chance to win a complimentary UEFA match ticket along with a round-trip flight ticket to the match city.

BYD Seal comes with extensive warranty coverage, including eight years and/or 1.6 lakh kilometers for the battery, eight years and/or 1.5 lakh kilometers for the motor/motor controller, and six years or 1.5 lakh kilometers for the DC assembly and electronic assembly.
