TIME magazine has revealed its third annual TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, which showcases companies and individuals actively shaping our future. The 2023 edition of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies issue features two global covers, each highlighting a CEO or top executive from a company on the list. Detailed profiles of Kim Kardashian, the Founder of Skims, and Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, are included.
Forces Shaping the World
To compile the list, TIME invited nominations from various sectors and conducted surveys among its global network of contributors, correspondents, and external experts. TIME editors evaluated the nominations based on key factors such as impact, innovation, ambition, and success. As a result, the list represents a diverse group of 100 businesses that play a significant role in forging a crucial path forward.

2023 Time100 Companies List
The 2023 TIME100 Companies List showcases a greater presence of companies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainability compared to previous editions. AI-related businesses account for over 12% of the list, with notable names like OpenAI, Nvidia, Google DeepMind, Hugging Face, Metaphysic, Runway, and others being featured. Similarly, the Sustainability category makes up more than 15% of the list, including companies such as M-Kopa, Schneider Electric, Aclima, Albemarle, Land O’Lakes, Kayrros, Patagonia, The North Face, ZeroAvia, Regrow Ag, and more.
What’s remarkable is that 42% of the companies on the list have a workforce of fewer than 500 employees, and over half of the featured companies have fewer than 1,000 employees. The list also encompasses major technology companies like Samsung, Google DeepMind, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, and others.
In the health industry, companies such as Novo Nordisk, which develops drugs for diabetes and weight loss, namely Ozempic and Wegovy, Cost Plus Drugs, Virta Health, Maven Clinic, and Honeybee Health have made the list. The entertainment industry is represented by companies like TikTok, Disney, Live Nation Entertainment, A24, and others. Major League Baseball and Formula One are included from the sports industry.
The fashion and retail sector finds its representation on the list through companies like The North Face, Crocs, Meesho, thredUP, Skims, LVMH, Ganni, and more.
