Casio has finally introduced its fully functional watch ring after much anticipation. The ring, CRW-001-1JR, fits comfortably around the finger.
Casio Unveils Fully Functional Watch Ring CRW-001-1JR for Its 50th Anniversary
There is an LCD screen feature in this innovative timepiece which is capable of displaying the time (hours, minutes, seconds), dates, and times from two different cities.
In addition to this, it also includes features like a stopwatch function, and a flashing light feature signals when a set time has been reached, with the display gently pulsing. The launch of the ring also marks the 50th anniversary of Casio’s watch business, making it a fitting celebration for the brand.
A miniature version of popular Casio’s classic wristwatches, the watch ring is scaled down to 1/10th of its original size. Constructed from metal, the CRW-001-1JR is designed to be a durable, functional accessory. With sizes 19 and 16 included, the ring comes with size adjustment spacers that ensures a snug fit around the user’s finger. These silicone spacers, which are added to the interior of the ring, allow for easy size adjustments.
Precision-Made with Metal Injection Molding and Advanced Features
Manufacturing technique known as Metal Injection Molding is used to create the ring, in order to ensure that the case, back cover, and ring are molded as a single piece. The attention to detail extends to the band holes, which are faithfully reproduced from the original wristwatch design. The watch is also waterproof and features easy battery replacement, with the LCD screen protected by a layer of glass. The display is capable of showing up to six digits, making it convenient for users to track times in multiple cities.
The Casio CRW-001-1JR watch ring is set to be released in December 2024, offering a stylish and functional twist on traditional timekeeping.
