Lava Agni 2 5G can now be purchased in India.
It is manufactured bv Lava, one of the special Made in India initiatives in the country.
The power of MediaTek
Lava claims that the device is powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 7050 processor.
In fact, the Lava Agni 2 5G is the first smartphone to be powered by this processor.
This chipset makes its debut in India with this smartphone and is all set to help the smartphone deliver solid and reliable performance.
This is an octa-core chipset that is based on the 6nm process which translates to greater performance and efficiency compared to larger processes.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 features two Cortex-A78 cores that are clocked all the way up to 2.6GHz.
These come in handy when performing resource-intensive tasks such as gaming.
For daily regular use, the processor uses six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. This ensures greater power efficiency.
Size
The phone gets a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz Refresh Rate, featuring one of the largest screens in the segment.
The display is curved around the sides lending it a premium look.
It also offers a colour depth of 1.07 billion colours.
Design
The phone offers a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz which combined with the MediaTek Intelligent Refresh Rate Display technology ensures all the benefits of the high refresh rate while also maximising power efficiency.
The top of the display sports double reinforced German Engineered Schott Xensation α Glass screen for greater protection against accidental drops and scratches.
Camera
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC offers support for up to 200MP primary cameras.
In a segment first, the setup also includes a 1-micron pixel sensor.
What makes it special is that the sensor captures more light which gives brighter images in low-light conditions.
Gaming
The Agni 2 boasts of superior gaming capabilities.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 is more than powerful enough to take on the latest titles.
Other helpful features include 8GB of RAM that can be virtually expanded by up to 16GB.
The phone also comes with the 3rd Gen 2900mm2 Vapour Chamber cooling technology which could keep with the heating problem.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 also packs the Arm Mali-G68 GPU., specifically optimised to ensure smooth gaming experiences while providing exceptional power efficiency.
Charging / connectivity
It runs on a 4700mAh battery with a 66W charger, all which should help ensure that 5G connectivity is not taking a toll on the large battery.
This is said to allow the device to charge up to 50% with less than 16 minutes of charging.
It costs Rs 21,999 and it is available to buy online on Amazon from May 24.
