Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rolled out India’s first fiber-based intranet TV service, IFTV, exclusively for BSNL FTTH customers. Initially available in select regions, this innovative service leverages BSNL’s FTTH network, offering live TV and Pay TV content streaming at no extra cost and without impacting users’ data packs.

BSNL Launches India's 1st Fiber-Based Intranet Service With 500 Live Channels

Features and Unique Offerings of BSNL’s IFTV

The IFTV service, accessible through BSNL’s FTTH network, provides over 500 live channels with high-quality streaming, allowing users in regions like Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to enjoy an expansive lineup of TV content. Unlike competing services from Reliance Jio and Airtel, BSNL’s IFTV does not count TV streaming against users’ monthly data limits, providing unlimited data solely for streaming purposes.

Additional Streaming and Entertainment Options

Beyond live TV, BSNL has confirmed that its IFTV service will soon support popular OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, and ZEE5, as well as gaming options. This integration allows users a comprehensive streaming experience directly through their BSNL connection. Currently, IFTV is compatible with Android TVs running Android 10 or later, with the BSNL Live TV app available for download from the Google Play Store.

Aligning with BSNL’s Vision for Secure, Affordable, and Reliable Services

The launch of IFTV aligns with BSNL’s strategic goals of delivering secure, affordable, and reliable digital services to its customers. Building on the success of its earlier IPTV launch and national Wi-Fi roaming service, BSNL aims to redefine home entertainment by providing an innovative solution that enhances customer value and convenience.

Competitive Edge Over Rivals

BSNL’s IFTV distinguishes itself by offering data-free streaming, making it an attractive option in the competitive telecom and broadcasting landscape. With this offering, BSNL seeks to increase its customer base while setting a new standard for intranet-based TV services in India.

Conclusion

BSNL’s launch of IFTV is a transformative step in Indian home entertainment, combining live and on-demand content with uninterrupted data-free streaming. As BSNL expands its offerings and enhances its technological infrastructure, it remains committed to delivering value-driven services that resonate with modern consumer demands.
