Considering the recent increase in mobile tariffs by private telecom companies, hundreds of thousands of users seem to have decided to switch to BSNL.
BSNL Rolling Out 4G services Nationwide
And why not, it appears that the state-owned company is taking advantage of this situation to compete with private operators after a long time of disappointment,
In the meantime, BSNL is gearing up for a nationwide rollout of its 4G services.
Prior to this, the government has announced a fund of Rs 83,000 crore to revitalize BSNL during this year’s budget.
When it comes to BSNL 4G services, they are currently available in many major cities and telecom circles across the country.
The company has also installed over 25,000 new 4G towers in addition.
Affordable offering By BSNL – Rs 397 Prepaid Recharge Plan
Besides this, the telecom company is currently offering affordable plans which are not available with Jio, Airtel, or Vi.
For instance, consider one such plan BSNL is offering at just Rs 397 which provides a validity of 5 months, equivalent to 150 days.
Please note here that this plan is specially designed for users who use BSNL as a secondary number.
The users can enjoy free incoming calls for 150 days in this recharge plan.
Further, this plan offers unlimited free calling to any number in the country for the first 30 days.
In addition to this, the users can also enjoy free nationwide roaming.
After 30 days, the users will need to top-up for outgoing calls, while incoming calls will continue for 150 days.
This plan also offers a daily 2GB data allowance for the first 30 days, after which unlimited data is available at a speed of 40kbps.
In addition to this, users are provided with 100 free SMS daily for the first 30 days.
In another development, the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), a government-owned telecom service provider operating in Delhi and Mumbai, has finalized a deal with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to introduce 4G services to its users.
In this deal, MTNL aims to enhance network services, providing improved 4G connectivity to its user base, under a 10-year agreement.
Interestingly, this decision to offer 4G services comes at a time when both MTNL and BSNL delayed their entry into the 4G market.
