Honda has commenced bookings for its debut electric scooters, the Activa e: and QC1. Customers can secure their reservation by paying Rs 1,000 at authorized dealerships in cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh.
Activa e: Features and Performance
The Honda Activa e: is positioned as the flagship electric scooter. It features a sleek design with modern amenities like a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, call alerts, and navigation in its top variant.
The scooter is equipped with two swappable 1.5kWh batteries, offering a combined capacity of 3kWh. Honda claims a range of 102km per charge, with batteries charged exclusively at Honda’s swapping stations. The Activa e: boasts a 6kW swingarm-mounted motor, accelerating from 0-60kmph in 7.3 seconds, and supports three riding modes: Eco, Standard, and Sport. It achieves a top speed of 80kmph.
Honda QC1: A Budget-Friendly Alternative
The Honda QC1 caters to budget-conscious buyers. It features a 1.8kW BLDC motor, delivering a top speed of 50kmph. The QC1 includes two riding modes, Econ and Standard, ensuring an efficient and practical commuting experience.
Launch Timeline and Future Plans
Honda plans to announce the pricing for both models shortly, with deliveries slated for February. To support its electric offerings, the company is working on establishing a widespread network of battery-swapping stations across India.
