It is anticipated that Google will reveal the Pixel 8A, its upcoming small flagship, on May 14th at I/O 2024, its yearly developer conference.
Let’s look at what the leaks suggest!
Google Pixel 8A Leaks: What Do They Reveal?
According to a leak, the Pixel 8A will be available in four different colorways: blue, black, porcelain, and a brand-new, vivid green. The Pixel 8A and Pixel 8 share a similar look, with the green model being called “refreshing.”
The Pixel 8A is said to have a 6.1-inch OLED display, which is a major improvement above the 90Hz panel found on the Pixel 7A. The phone can appear less contemporary than other Pixel 8 variants because of a prominent chin at the bottom of the display.
It is anticipated that the Pixel 8A would feature two cameras on its back, potentially a 64 MP primary sensor and a 13 MP ultra-wide angle lens.
The Tensor G3 CPU, which powers the Pixel 8A along with other Pixel 8 models, may provide 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage in the base model. Additionally, a 256 GB storage option may be available, which would be a first for Google’s A-series handsets.
According to a previous source, the Pixel 8A may be the final smartphone in the series, with the Pixel 9 lineup having panels of varying sizes.
The Pixel 8A is anticipated to launch in India at a cost of about Rs 50,000.
Google Pixel 8 Design Renders Specifications
We had previously reported that Google Pixel 8 will be the entry-level flagship in the company’s premium smartphone lineup for 2023 and is expected to be unveiled in May 2023.
As the launch is very close, tipster OnLeaks has shared the design renders of the upcoming Pixel flagship smartphone, which reveal that it will continue to feature a dual-camera setup.
This upcoming launch is likely to miss out on a telephoto camera sensor, which might remain exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro.
It will have an LED flash outside the oval-shaped camera module on the protruding visor.
In design, this phone is a lot more rounded around the corners which gives the Pixel 8 a different look compared to the boxy design of the Pixel 7.
Notably, this change in design also has resulted in the Pixel 8 sporting a smaller display.
It seems the Pixel 8 will have a circa 6.2-inch display, compared to 6.3-inches seen on the Pixel 7 according to OnLeaks.
