Apple Is Not Working On Foldable iPhones, But Foldable iPad Can Launch By 2024!

If we are to go by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s reports, it looks like fans will have to wait till 2024 for a foldable iPhone.

Apple To Launch Foldable Smartphone By 2024?

The year 2022 marked a turning point for foldable smartphones as Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi challenged Samsung for market dominance. The analyst does not, however, think that Apple will be developing a foldable iPhone by 2023. However, a brand-new, foldable iPad might be in the works.

A new iPad mini model might also go into production in 2024, according to Kuo. Additionally, the analyst predicts a 10 to 15% drop in iPad shipments in 2023. However, the release of a new foldable iPad mini in 2024 may increase shipments and strengthen Apple’s product lineup.

A carbon fiber kickstand is also said to be included in the rumored foldable iPhone to improve durability.

A carbon fiber kickstand is also said to be included in the rumored foldable iPhone to improve durability. Previous rumors suggested that future iPads would use OLED screens. Other rumors claimed that the foldable iPad’s screen would measure 20.25 inches when it was opened up.

Despite Samsung constantly teasing the tech giant for not having a foldable device, Apple has yet to announce plans for a foldable iPad or iPhone. It’s best not to predict a foldable Apple device just yet, though analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is renowned for his accuracy.

Apple’s First Foldable Smartphone To Cost $2500!

As per our previous reports, the first foldable iPhone could cost around $2500, which is twice of the Galaxy Z fold series. In fact, the company has stated that a foldable Apple device might be launched as late as 2025. Also, this first foldable device will not be a smartphone, it will be a foldable iPad.

As per Ben Wood, chief of research at CCS Insight, Apple will need to take extra precautions with its foldable products because if the company encounters any technical problems with them, the makers won’t be spared by the critics.
