You will be surprised to know that Apple’s next big AI push may not entirely focus on chatbots,  on the contrary, the Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly working on new AI features that could make your iPhone better at understanding the real world around you.

What To Expect?

The iPhone-maker might bring several new Apple Intelligence features in iOS 27 as per the latest report by MacRumors.

In the upcoming OS update for iPhones, it is expected to bring at least four AI-powered tools that work directly inside system apps.

Nicolás Alvarez spotted these features in backend code and later on it was confirmed by MacRumors.

The report said, “Apple is expected to lean more heavily into Visual Intelligence in iOS 27, since the company is reportedly developing AI wearable devices that will leverage the feature. Apple is reportedly working on smart glasses, AirPods with cameras, and a wearable AI pin or pendant.”

Upgrade To The Visual Intelligence Feature

It is noteworthy here that Apple’s Visual Intelligence feature is expected to do more than just recognise objects.

For instance, soon you will be able to scan the  food nutrition labels using your iPhone camera and instantly get detailed health information.

It can also connect with the Health app to give better insights into what you consume.

The other useful addition talks about making everyday tasks easier as its visual Intelligence may allow users to scan printed phone numbers or addresses and directly save them to Contacts.

Besides this, the Cupertino-based giant is rumored to be improving its Wallet app as it’s iOS 27, users might be able to scan physical tickets, gym cards, or similar items and convert them into digital passes automatically.

We are also expecting a small but smart upgrade to Apple’s web browser Safari with a new AI feature that will automatically name Tab Groups based on the content of open tabs.

In addition to this, there are rumors that the Cupertino-headquartered tech giant is expected to announce iOS 27 during its annual tech conference – WWDC which is scheduled to be held in June.

At the same time, its official rollout is most  likely to happen in September alongside new iPhones.

Apple is also expected to announce a chatbot version of ‌Siri‌ that will rival ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude during its WWDC 2026 as per the leaks.

Apple will live-stream the WWDC opening keynote on its website, YouTube and on the Apple TV app as it does every year and we can expect the WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8 at 11:30 PM in India.

This simply implies that we will be able to watch all the announcements on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and even PC.
