Honor, a former subsidiary of Huawei, is officially returning to India with Realme’s former CEO Madhav Sheth at the helm.
The company teased the arrival of a new product. speculated to be Honor 90 smartphone series.
Past troubles
The smartphone brand, which was a sub-brand of Huawei at the time, ran into trouble in the US when the government restricted Huawei from using Google services.
Reports suggested that Honor would leave the Indian smartphone market as well, but the company denied those claims.
It continued to sell new products in India, although it shifted focus to smartwatches and tablets like the Honor Watch ES and the Honor Pad 5.
Honor 9A was the last smartphone it released in India, a budget-friendly device priced below Rs 10,000.
