In a major push to expand creative tools into the AI era, Adobe has announced that three of its most popular applications—Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Adobe Acrobat—are now available directly within ChatGPT. This integration brings industry-leading creative and productivity functionality to ChatGPT’s 800 million weekly users, allowing people to edit images, design graphics, and manage documents—all without leaving the chat interface.

Making Powerful Tools Accessible Through Conversation
The core idea behind this integration is to combine Adobe’s advanced creative technology with ChatGPT’s conversational interface. Users can now perform common creative tasks simply by typing natural language instructions. For example, asking “Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image” will trigger the Photoshop app within ChatGPT and guide the user through the editing process. This makes the tools accessible not just to experienced designers, but also to everyday users who may not know how traditional software operates.
Adobe Express for ChatGPT allows users to choose templates, customize designs, animate elements, and generate visual content for any occasion. Adobe Acrobat integration supports PDF editing tasks such as extracting text or tables, merging files, compressing documents, and redacting sensitive information, all from within ChatGPT.
Why This Integration Matters
This launch builds on Adobe’s recent innovations in conversational AI, including earlier releases of AI Assistants for Photoshop and Adobe Express and the Acrobat Studio workspace. By embedding these tools in ChatGPT, Adobe is meeting users where they already spend time, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications for creative work.
According to David Wadhwani, President of Digital Media at Adobe, the goal is to “make creativity accessible for everyone,” enabling users to edit photos, design event materials, and transform documents with simple words.
Availability and Cost
Adobe’s Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat features for ChatGPT are available globally and free to use on ChatGPT’s desktop, web, and iOS platforms. Adobe Express is also available on Android, with Photoshop and Acrobat support coming soon. Users who need deeper functionality can easily continue projects in Adobe’s full native apps.
This integration is seen as a significant shift in how creative tools are used, lowering barriers and democratizing access to professional-quality editing and design capabilities.
