Relief for Kashmir-Bound Travellers
Northern Railway has introduced a significant reduction in train ticket prices, providing relief to passengers traveling to the Kashmir valley. Passengers in second class coaches will benefit from a 40 to 50 per cent decrease in fares.
This move aims to make train travel more affordable and accessible for thousands of passengers.
Expansion of Rail Services in Kashmir
Rail services in the Kashmir valley are rapidly expanding. Currently operational from Baramulla to Sangaldan, services will soon extend from Udhampur to Baramulla, connecting the valley with the rest of the country. This initiative underscores Northern Railway’s commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
