Indian Railways has launched two special Vande Bharat Express trains connecting New Delhi and Patna to make festive travel smoother during Diwali and Chhath Puja. These trains will run from October 11 to November 17, ensuring passengers can reach home conveniently amid the festive rush.

With thousands of passengers traveling between Delhi and Bihar during Diwali and Chhath, the Railways has introduced these semi-high-speed trains to enhance travel comfort and reduce journey time. These trains, known for their speed, hygiene, and modern amenities, are expected to handle heavy festive traffic efficiently.
🗓️ Timings, Routes, and Stoppages
Two special trains—Train No. 02252/02251 and Train No. 02253/02254—will operate on this route during the festive period.
They will cover the 1,000 km journey in around 13 hours, stopping at Aligarh, Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara.
- Train No. 02252: Departs New Delhi at 8:35 am, arrives Patna at 9:30 pm
- Train No. 02251: Departs Patna at 10:00 am, arrives New Delhi at 11:30 pm
- Train No. 02253: Departs Patna at 10:00 am, arrives New Delhi at 11:30 pm
- Train No. 02254: Departs New Delhi at 8:35 am, arrives Patna at 9:30 pm
