Google Pixel Fold Specifications Leaked Before Launch: Expected Refresh Rate, Camera & More!

After the launch of Google Pixel 7 series, Google is all set to unveil the Google Pixel Fold. However, days ahead of the launch, some details have emerged which reveal some specifications of the Google Pixel Fold.

Additionally, some more reports have suggested that the phone will not be launching in 2022. 

In fact, DSCC CEO Ross Young has said that Google Pixel Fold will launch in Q1 2023.

Rumors Reveal Display Notifications Of Google Pixel Fold

Some leaks have revealed the display specifications of the first ever foldable smartphone by Google, the Google Pixel Fold. These reports suggest that the foldable phone will come with a  Google Fold moniker. 

The company itself has not spoken anything about its plan to launch the Google Pixel Fold as of yet. 

Display On Google Pixel Fold

As per reports, Samsung will be in charge of making the internal and external display for Google Pixel Fold. Also, the first ever foldable smartphone by Google will be based on the Oppo Find N for its design aspects. The folding display will reportedly come with a 1840×2208 pixels resolution.

Additionally, the folding screen’s measurements are 123 x 148 mm. The screen will produce a peak brightness of 1200 nits, claims the report. Additionally, the display will support a refresh rate of 120Hz. Three cameras will reportedly be located on the back of the Pixel Fold for optics.

Camera on Google Pixel Fold

The main sensor among these three cameras will be a Sony IMX787. The handset will also come with an ultrawide Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5K3J1 telephoto camera. The front camera on the Google Pixel Fold will be a Sony IMX355 sensor.

A Samsung S5K3J1 sensor will be installed in the cover screen. Meanwhile, a rumour claims that the Pixel Fold will have a fingerprint scanner on the side edge. The cover screen will have a 1080 x 2100 pixel resolution. According to the report, the Google Pixel Fold will debut in March 2023.

Another Google Foldable Smartphone Spotted?

Apart from this smartphone, another foldable phone from Google with the codename “Pipit” had also been reported earlier this year.  But, the Tensor SoC used in this model is currently out of date, according to the developer.

According to the market experts, Google’s upcoming foldable smartphone may go by the names Pixel Fold or Pixel Notepad. The electronic product manufacturer, Foxconn is rumored to be producing this model in China.  

Moreover, this smartphone’s release was apparently postponed in May of this year. This phone is anticipated to include a  5.78-inch external display with a very thin glass cover and a 7.57-inch internal display.
