Delivering to all pin codes

Amazon India Vice-President Noor Patel has said that 11 lakh sellers will participate of which 2 lakh are local stores.

The e-tailer will be delivering to customers across all serviceable pin codes.

Early access

The big change this year is that celebrations and festivities will take on a grand scale after two years of the pandemic.

Prime Members get 24 hours early access before opening sale for everyone.

New launches, bank offers

Patel said that the company expects over 2,000 launches across categories during the sale.

He also said that they have partnered with State Bank of India to offer a 10 per cent discount on debit and credit cards.

Amazon’s sale will continue till 3-4 days before Diwali.

Influencers and live streaming

Another thing unique about this year’s event is that Amazon is working with more than 150 influencers to generate 600 live streams in order to help customers make an informed purchase decision.

There will also be live streams where customers can avail LIVE-only discounts.

Special launches

Walmart-owned Flipkart claims to have 4.2 lakh seller partners and has roped in celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, MS Dhoni to promote the Big Billion Days sale.

There will be as many as 130 Big Billion Days specials designed by more than 90 brands across fashion, electronics, mobile phones, large appliances, personal care and handicrafts categories.

Affordability, job creation

Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said that through this sale it has been able to provide access to quality and affordability to the customers.

It has also helped the economy by creating jobs, and livelihood opportunities across the country.
